Demhe Silver / Demhe Shadow
The Demhe Silver and Demhe Shadow have sold. Thank you!

This last week I finally had some time to catch up on some custom work. It has put me in a creative mode and I’ve had some exciting and fun results (Allora Fuzz, Black Light Yellow Spiral Drive, Blind Doc). I’ve had a few requests from players using the Black with higher-gain amps to build a version with the Demhe/Hali switch to control the lows. I've decided to call it the Focus Toggle. This essentially marries the Black circuit with the Carcosa circuit. You get all the new stuff from the Black (Nanolog N2, toggle switched diodes etc.) and the Demhe/Hali Low-Cut toggle of the Carcosa.
Dawn and I also viewed this as an opportunity to experiment for the first-time with laser glasing, instead of cutting; this technology allows us to use a laser to mark on bare metal (tip of the hat to Adam Hartley from Acid Splash Designs for turning us on to this tech). We also experimented with laser-cutting through gloss-black instead of our usual oxides. The results of this dark union are the calvaluna twins: Demhe Silver and Demhe Shadow. We will have one Demhe Silver and one Demhe Shadow available for sale.
The top of the Demhe Shadow is gloss-black, and the top of the Demhe Silver is texture-brushed and satin-sealed. To round-out the vintage radio look, I used some vintage chicken-head knobs from my personal stash as well as rescued Marantz knobs for the bias. I’ve had these Marantz knobs in my stash since 1983.
One (1) Demhe Silver and one (1) Demhe Shadow will go on sale in our store tomorrow, Saturday April 19 at 9AM MST for $299 USD.
